In a Different Light – Capitol Building – Madison, WI

Wisconsin State Capitol Building at Night

Wisconsin State Capitol Building at Night

It’s always interesting to see how different something looks as time transitions from day to night. I sort of had a chance to document that recently during my trip to Madison, WI for a conference.

Of course I always like seeing the Capitol building when I visit Madison, but usually I don’t get to stay close enough to have easy access to it. Because the conference was at the Monona Terrace Conference Center we received special room rates to stay in the adjacent Hilton. So that meant that with only a short walk outside and to the corner I had a clear shot to the Capitol Building which was 2 blocks away. I should also mention that I could see the Capitol from my 4th floor room which meant all I had to do was sneak a quick look through the window to see if it was worth heading down to take a pic.

Below are a few shots taken from roughly the same place at 3 different times. Got to like how much something can change over the course of a few hours.
